Coast Driver
A professional-grade vintage American-style amp with a warm, mid-forward overdrive stage built in right at the front. Zero pops, minimal aliasing, and a pristine signal path from input to cab.
A clean vintage voice, pushed into creamy breakup.
Coast Driver pairs a vintage American-style amp with a warm, mid-forward overdrive stage in front of it — the classic amp-plus-pedal combination, built into one plugin. Input Gain and Overdrive control how hard that drive stage pushes into the amp, while Amp Gain shapes the amp’s own saturation. Tone and Presence sculpt the voice through a classic 3-band tone stack, and a built-in cabinet stage carries the signal the rest of the way.
Under the hood, the signal path is built around a pristine, pop-free design. Anti-aliasing filters are placed strategically around every nonlinear stage — before and after the overdrive, before and after the amp saturation, and on the final output — so the drive and saturation stay musical without harshness creeping in. Power-supply sag and thermal drift are modeled into the amp’s response, giving it the way real tube amps loosen up and breathe under sustained playing.
Oversampling adapts automatically to your session sample rate — up to 8x at standard rates, scaling down as needed at higher sample rates where it’s less necessary. A dry/wet Mix control lets you blend the processed and direct signal in parallel, and the same save/load/delete preset workflow used across the Driftlab lineup keeps your favorite settings within reach.

Vintage American amp with a warm overdrive stageA dedicated overdrive stage — voiced with a high-pass, mid-boost, and low-shelf character for that classic mid-forward drive — sits in front of the amp’s own saturation stage.
-
Input Gain, Overdrive & Amp GainThree separate gain stages let you dial in everything from a clean, compressed input to a fully pushed drive-into-amp breakup.
-
Tone & PresenceShape the voice through a classic 3-band tone stack, then dial in top-end bite with a dedicated presence filter.
-
Built-in cabinet stageCabinet resonance, low-pass, high-cut, bass boost, mid shaping, and presence filtering are all modeled in, so there’s no separate cab plugin to load.
-
Power-supply sag & thermal modelingThe amp’s response loosens and drifts under sustained playing the way real tube amps do, instead of staying static under every gain setting.
-
Pristine, pop-free signal pathAnti-aliasing filtering placed around every nonlinear stage, plus DC-offset removal throughout, keeps drive and saturation clean at the edges even when you’re pushing hard.

Up to 8x oversamplingAdapts automatically to your session sample rate, scaling down as needed at higher rates where extra oversampling isn’t required.
