Overview

Plays like an amp. Sounds like the real thing.

Vintage Spring is a Fender-style amp simulator built around the controls that matter: Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Speed, and Intensity. No menus buried three levels deep, no presets that sound like demos — just the feel of a real amp, where the signal responds differently at 9 o’clock versus noon and where the spring reverb has the characteristic bass-shy roll-off of an actual tank.

The signal chain models each stage honestly. An input stage, biquad Treble and Bass tone shelves that sweep naturally, a power amp section with frequency-dependent saturation, and a spring reverb send filtered below 450 Hz the way a real Fender tank behaves — because that’s what gives it the drip without the mud. Tremolo runs from 0.1 to 8 Hz and is unity-gain centered so enabling it doesn’t shift your average level.

Cabinet simulation runs four modes and crossfades smoothly when you switch mid-session. Direct Out mode bypasses reverb and uses a higher-headroom limiter, designed for stacking cleanly with distortion or overdrive pedals after the plugin. Fifty factory presets across five playing styles get you there fast.

  • Fender-style tube amp chain
Input stage, envelope-sensitive preamp, biquad Treble and Bass tone shelves, and a power amp section with frequency-dependent saturation — not a shelf EQ approximation.
  • Spring reverb with authentic character
Pre-delay line and a high-pass filter on the reverb send — real spring tanks are naturally bass-shy, and the model respects that. The drip is there without clouding the low end.
  • Tremolo — 0.1 to 8 Hz
Sine LFO centered on unity gain so enabling it doesn’t shift your average level. 4–5 Hz at 50% Intensity is the classic Fender sweet spot. Set Intensity to 0 to keep Speed dialed in and bypass the effect entirely.
  • Four cabinet modes
Bypass, Balanced Chime (Jensen-style 1×12), Warm Vintage (blues and jazz), and Bright Clarity (leads and presence). Smooth crossfading between modes means no clicks or pops when switching mid-session.
  • Direct Out — FX chain mode
Bypasses spring reverb and replaces the standard limiter with a higher-headroom safety limiter. Stack distortion or overdrive pedals cleanly after this plugin, then add reverb after your gain stage for authentic signal chain order.
  • 50 factory presets across 5 styles
Clean & Classic, Surf & Tremolo, Country & Twang, Blues & Jazz, and Rockabilly & Vintage — 10 per category. Save, load, and delete your own presets alongside the factory library.
  • Up to 8x oversampling
Adapts automatically to your session sample rate. 2x for tracking, 4x for mixing, 8x for final export. Smooth crossfades prevent clicks when switching quality mid-session.
