Overview

Warmth and character, without the complexity.

Fire Glow is a harmonic saturation plugin designed to add the natural warmth, body, and presence that digital recordings so often lack. Whether you’re tracking guitars, polishing vocals, gluing a drum bus, or adding subtle character to a full mix, Fire Glow gives you the harmonic richness of tube gear with a handful of straightforward controls that get out of your way.

At its core are three distinct saturation modes — Warm, Glow, and Burn — each modelling a different harmonic character. Warm leans into the even harmonics of a tube triode stage, producing that classic soft, rounded tone ideal for vocals and acoustic instruments. Glow blends even and odd harmonics for a musical, tape-like quality that works on almost anything. Burn pushes harder with dominant odd harmonics, delivering aggressive edge for drums, synths, and creative distortion.

The Color control shapes the tonal profile from dark and vintage through to open and airy — think of it as turning the character of the saturation as much as the level. 4x oversampling keeps the processing clean and alias-free, and automatic gain compensation means the output stays at a consistent loudness however hard you push it, making honest A/B comparisons fast and reliable.

  • Three saturation characters
Warm (even harmonics, tube triode), Glow (balanced, tape-like), and Burn (odd harmonics, aggressive edge) — each one tuned for a distinct job, all switchable mid-session without clicks or pops.
  • Glow & Color controls
Glow sets the saturation depth from barely-there harmonic lift all the way through to full creative distortion. Color tilts the tonal character from dark and vintage to open and bright, shaping how the saturation sits in the mix.
  • 4x oversampling
Runs the saturation stages at four times the host sample rate, keeping aliasing inaudible even at high drive settings without demanding excessive CPU.
  • Automatic gain compensation
Measures and matches output loudness to input in real time, so turning up the saturation doesn’t trick your ears into thinking it sounds better just because it’s louder. Honest A/B comparisons every time.
  • Input and output metering
Dual RMS and peak meters on both sides of the processing chain give you a clear view of levels going in and coming out, keeping gain staging under control at every step.
  • 40 factory presets across 7 categories
Vocals, guitars, keys, drums, mix bus, mastering, and creative FX — all organised and ready to use. Your own presets save and restore automatically with every session.
